Friendly Isabell mare with go seeks breeding/recreational partner - The lovely Flugsfjödur, who is currently on foaling leave, was prepared for riding training on the ground a year ago and is already familiar with the saddle and a rider’s weight (when led). This ensures that her new owner will be able to build on a solid foundation when it comes to her future training. In terms of temperament, she is a cautious mare, not skittish, and always attentive to people. She is familiar with children, cats, dogs—most of what everyday life on the farm entails. And, of course, everyday life with horses as well. Within the herd, she tends to stay in the middle of the pack; socially, she prefers to avoid conflicts. She is also familiar with larger herds (mostly groups of mares). Her build and size are typical of an older Icelandic horse: a very sturdy frame at approximately 1.37 stockmaß, making her suitable for both young and adult riders. For example, a rider who wants to continue training “his” future riding horse on his own and grow into a great team through regular work together.
