Gladur is a very lively colt: constantly on the move, he demonstrates at least four gaits when running freely. He’s also curious and always out front. Although his mother also has boundless enthusiasm for running, she’s currently stretched to her limits keeping an eye on the young colt. Now let’s take another look into the crystal ball to get a sense of what the future might hold for him: Gladur certainly needs to be challenged—that is, a rider who encourages, challenges, and keeps him engaged. He seems to have the potential for advanced gaits; only time and his further development will show whether this is sufficient for championship-level competitions. It’s certainly conceivable.
By the time he leaves (after weaning) in the winter, he’ll have mastered the basics of foal training, will of course be regularly dewormed, and will come with full papers. Until his final registration in late summer, the future owner still has the opportunity to choose a name for this little beauty, should he not like the current one.
