Young Paint Horse mare with show potential and a wonderful temperament - Location: 07980 Berga / Elster Dancingguns Firefox is a chestnut solid Paint Horse mare born in 2023 and currently stands approximately 144 cm at the withers. She is a picture-perfect, compact, and well-conformed young mare with strong legs. But what really stands out is her personality: Roxy is incredibly sweet, very people-oriented, and affectionate. She is curious, yet always calm and easygoing, and simply wants to please her owner. Whether in daily handling or during work, she is motivated, enjoys cooperating, and always strives to do everything right. Roxy is currently being gently broken in and is proving to be very pleasant to work with. She already moves well under saddle at a walk and trot; work on the canter is currently underway. She is easy to ride, has beautiful, supple gaits, and really cooperates well during work. She has also been to training sessions off-site and has proven just as easygoing there as she is at home. She’s also familiar with short walks at a walk in a group. She loves children, is comfortable around dogs and water, and doesn’t get flustered easily by new situations. She’s also a sweetheart to handle. She’s well-behaved during hoof care, is easygoing at the vet, and loads into the trailer without any trouble. She’s currently stabled in an open barn with a mixed herd, but she’s also accustomed to stall housing. Neither is a problem for her. She’s healthy, has no eczema or known hoof or respiratory issues, and is regularly dewormed and vaccinated. Her teeth were trimmed in 2025. Her pedigree is also appealing for reining and ranch work. Her sire is DK Dancing Boys Smoky, and her dam is B Bubblegun by Gatling Gun. Both parents have been successfully shown. Roxy herself is already enrolled in the EWU Young Horse Program. She’s a little powerhouse with top-notch ranch bloodlines and has everything it takes—both physically and mentally—to become a great ranch or reining horse one day. Due to the owner’s decision to retire from competitive riding, a truly loving and supportive home is being sought for Roxy.
