Ridden Icelandic mare in special color with lots of tölt - Genesis was born and raised by me, was a broodmare and has now been under saddle for some time with interruptions due to lack of time.
She is healthy, free of eczema, vaccinated, wormed, and is suitable for blacksmithing and loading.
Genesis is a five-gaited horse with a good walk, always with a clear beat. She prefers the trot when free-running and shows it confidently, ground covering and full of impulsion. Under saddle, the trot is usually easy to call off, she only has some problems keeping the pace depending on her daily form and can occasionally fall into tölt. We have already made very good progress with targeted training. She is super easy to tölt and can be ridden in pure tölt with just a few aids. At the moment she still lacks the strength to tölt long distances evenly on her own, as she hasn't been ridden for a long time due to lack of time. We are currently working on building up her muscles and condition and have started practicing sideways aids with her. She has a lovely canter with an uphill tendency when free-running. Under the rider she still lacks the necessary strength and balance to do this on the flat and can then fall into the pass, but in the pass she can also be accelerated and holds it quite safely, I tested this once. She has not yet been taught the aids for laying down as I don't want to ride the pass at the moment due to her level of training. However, she cantered uphill in an exemplary manner and, with a little driving help, also jumped uphill beautifully. She has a slightly lively temperament and is therefore usually hard-working and motivated. I find her gaits very comfortable to sit on. Due to her level of training and temperament, she is not suitable for beginners or fearful riders.
With approx. 136 stm and compact stable harmonious conformation plus her natural expression she covers riders up to 75 kg very well.
She could be used as a broodmare again at any time and was registered in Mare Book 1 with a 7.9 for gait and conformation. Her offspring convinced with character, gait and color.
Genesis is a black pinto mare with the splash gene, so she has one blue eye and one brown human eye. She is tested EE and can therefore never have a chestnut-based foal.
She is a Glampi frá Vatnsleysu granddaughter and has the well-known stallions Adam frá Ásmundarstöðum and Hrafn frá Holtsmúla in her pedigree.
You are welcome to meet Genesis in person and test ride her for a fee.
She can move to her new home at any time. The now sold out lilac glitter snaffle from Crownhorse with which she is currently ridden can be purchased for an additional charge.
