Medical training on the horse - Medical Training - How can YOU prepare your horse independently for various preventive health measures, examinations and treatments?

Medical training is behavioral training in preparation for various health measures. Regardless of whether your horse needs to get to know new measures for the first time or has already become accustomed to difficult behaviors that it needs to relearn.
Medical training is not just about preparing your horse for treatment by the vet, but also about many different measures to ensure your horse's health. From prophylactic measures (e.g. worming, use of fly spray or showering), to care measures (e.g. hoof care), to prophylactic or acute treatments (e.g. vaccination, wound care, diagnostic imaging, osteopathy), you can prepare your horse step by step in a way that is understandable to the horse. How? You'll learn in this one-day seminar!

In this one-day seminar, you will also learn how helpful medical training is and how easily you can integrate it into your daily stable routine. You will gain valuable, practical knowledge about your horse's learning behavior, which you can use to carry out your medical training efficiently and safely on your own in the future.
In order to deepen the theoretical content about learning behavior and medical training, we will also carry out the first steps in medical training practically on the horse. We can address your specific medical training situation with your horse and practise your individual first steps on the horses available.

Contents:
Within 3 theory and 2 practical sessions you will learn
 what your horse's needs are and what this means for your medical training,
 how your horse learns and how you can use this to make your medical training efficient,
 what is important in medical training and what you can train independently,
 how you can build up your medical training and explain individual measures to your horse step by step,
 why you don't need treats, coercive measures or gimmicks for safe and horse-friendly medical training,
 which influencing factors lead to "everything works for you, but the horse won't let the vet give the injection" (or similar situations) and what you can do to make it work (again),
 how you can make your dealings with the vet even more understanding in order to ensure optimal treatment for your horse (without coercive measures),
 how to integrate your medical training simply and efficiently into your daily stable routine.

Note: Due to time constraints, a maximum of 6 participants can actively take part in the practical sessions. If more / all participants would like to complete the practical sessions, we can also schedule the Sunday for a 2nd course.
