Sensitive young Icelandic gelding with potential - Frekur is a strong and friendly young gelding with a medium temperament. He has very good movement mechanics and shows a free-running, ground-covering, springy trot with high speed variance as well as a relaxed, clear beat tölt. His canter is currently more of a walk, but he shows promising racing pass approaches. Frekur is being accustomed to working under saddle according to his age and is very willing to learn but sometimes a little timid. He therefore needs a rider who can give him the necessary security. He reacts very sensitively to rider aids and is extremely attentive to people. Thanks to his good gait, Frekur is very versatile. We see him in the future as a luxury leisure horse for ambitious riders who want to take him to one or two competitions, but also for courses such as the trainer's license. As Frekur is still sometimes anxious when ridden, we are offering him as a "project horse" at a much lower price. For an experienced rider who knows how to give a horse confidence and security, Frekur will certainly develop into a calm riding horse. Unfortunately, we don't have the time to give him the long-term attention he needs for further training. Frekur currently has a permanent caregiver who has already taken him on short rides and worked with him in the arena. As Frekur first needs to get to know a person and gain their trust, we will not be taking him for a trial ride on site. However, he can be viewed and, if the time is right, you can watch him at work.
