Riding pony or children's pony in good hands - It is with a heavy heart that we are selling our George.

The little prince “George” has been with us since he was about half a year old.
He was born in England and came to us as a foal via a Dutch horse market. Here, he grew up with a stallion his own age and older geldings and mares of all sizes.

He has never had any bad experiences since he was a foal and has never been sick.

He lives near the house in an open stable with a paddock; in the summer, he grazes in a wooded pasture as part of a herd. He is also accustomed to being stabled (during very cold winter periods or when we’re on vacation).
George was broken in three years ago at the Gerdes Riding Center in the Emsland region and ridden bareback by children on trail rides. He is absolutely well-behaved with children and easy to handle, but after that he was only kept with us in the pasture as a companion horse because he was actually supposed to be broken in here for our own use.

He’s been on vacation with us—swimming in the lake, leading by hand on trail rides, or even tagging along to the ice cream shop…

He loves to roll around in shallow water, scratch around in it, or take a dip.

He’s a dream pony. He was always cheerful, friendly, and sweet here, well-behaved at the farrier’s and when being loaded, and fence-secure (even when out on the trail or in a paddock with low-voltage fencing).

Thanks to his calm demeanor, he inspires confidence and is likely well-suited for children or therapy work. He likes children and is well-behaved.

Unfortunately, due to our daughter’s studies and our own health issues, we have to give up horse ownership entirely or significantly scale it back, which is why we’ve decided to sell him.

In all these years, he has never been sick or lame. Colic, unexplained lameness, laminitis, or eczema, etc., are completely foreign to him. His mane was once completely removed due to fall grass mites. Otherwise, he has had no problems with his thick mane, tail, or leg hair.

His light mustache in winter and his beautiful eyes are distinctive features.

We are looking for a permanent, loving home for this beloved horse.

We also have a small pony-drawn wagon and a basic harness here, which can be purchased along with the horse if interested.

(A pre-purchase examination can be conducted at the farm on behalf of and at the expense of interested parties.
Test rides are not possible due to the horse’s current training status.)
He is being rehomed because the owner is giving up horse ownership.
