PRE, Conjunto Mestizo, little Spanish girl - Zagalilla, born April 2009, is a super sweet little Spanish girl who came to Germany a few years ago. She was broken in here but not trained any further.
When she came to me, she was very sweet under saddle, but also very insecure, overwhelmed and unbalanced.
I have worked her a lot on the ground and she has improved a lot physically, but unfortunately I still don't see her as a riding pony. Although she is still lovely under saddle and doesn't show any naughtiness, her insecurity remains and she has clearly shown me that working with a rider is simply not for her. She's really great at relaxed walking, even with children, but that's all she's made for.
She is much happier and more motivated with lunge work, Equikinetic etc. However, as I would like to ride again, it's unfortunately no longer suitable for the two of us.

Zagalilla is super nice and sweet to handle. She is totally people-oriented, likes to come up to you and looks over the edge of the stall when you approach her. Even children can pick her up from the meadow, lead her and groom her without any problems. She is patient, careful and not at all pushy. She seeks contact with people on her own initiative and is always happy to meet new people. She is curious and very interested. Sometimes she will follow you around in the meadow if she thinks you are up to something interesting.
She likes to be petted, gives all hooves and is also relaxed at the farrier.
She has a really great character, so it is very difficult for me to give her away.

Sure, sometimes she's a "typical mare" and sometimes she's venomous, but she's never malicious, especially not towards people. And she doesn't usually do more than spit. She is not one to lash out immediately for no reason.
During the day, she stands in the meadow in a small mixed herd of ponies. She is rank-centered, tends to avoid conflicts and can always be sent away. She is therefore very compatible with others.
At night she stands in a box, which suits her well: she needs a safe place to retreat to. I can also imagine an open stable for her if she is not kept with too many others.

Zagalilla is approx. 142 cm tall. She knows the hustle and bustle of children and dogs are always out and about in the yard.

I would like a nice, balanced home for her where she will be loved and can still be worked on from below. I can also imagine her with children who are looking for their first contact with ponies and perhaps want to be led for a few rounds.

If she moves, she can take her equipment with her (halter, knotted halter, bandages, gaiters, fly masks, fly/rain/winter rugs, grooming kit etc.). I bought her with a Tekna saddle. If desired, this can also be taken along.

If you feel addressed and are looking for a hearty pony with whom you can still work a lot from below, then I look forward to hearing from you.
