We are looking for a new owner who will truly enjoy our Kibele marathon carriage. The carriage is quite old, but as you can see in the pictures, it has hardly been used and is therefore still in really good condition. It is equipped to meet tournament standards, meaning it has a curb weight of 385 kg—so no lead weights need to be added to qualify for a tournament. Of course, the carriage can also be used on public roads and for recreational purposes.
It has disc brakes on both the front and rear and is equipped with a steering delay. It currently has rubber tires that are barely worn, but balloon tires could be retrofitted at any time.
We are selling the carriage along with a floating drawbar and a single-horse fork (retail value €800), meaning it can be driven with either one or two horses. There is also a Kibele brand attachment that can be mounted on the floating drawbar to allow for four-horse driving. However, we are not including this attachment in the sale.
The carriage is 1.35 m wide and 2.10 m long and is available for viewing at any time. Since it has unfortunately not been used in recent years, we would be very happy if someone were interested in giving it a new purpose.
It was drawn by horses between 1.50 and 1.75 m tall. However, it is particularly suitable for horses 1.60 m or taller.
