Friendly, rideable companion horse; therapy; children - For sale is a large, confident 14-year-old gelding with excellent pedigree and training.
He hasn’t been with us very long. We bought him as a lead horse for our son, who, however, has no interest in riding. It’s a shame to let him just stand around, because he really enjoys being active.
In the past, he suffered tendon damage in two legs. This was caused by overexertion during trail riding. He took a long break and has been free of lameness for quite some time now. With us, he currently goes on a short trail ride twice a week, during which he is ridden at all gaits. Nevertheless, he is being sold as a (rideable) companion horse and comes with a protection contract.
He goes out into the countryside both alone and in a group, is used to trail rides with a child on his back, free work, and a bit of lead-rein work.
He is always friendly, polite, and very pleasant toward both people and other animals. With us, he is a reserved herd leader. He stands calmly for the farrier (barefoot) and at the vet. He is also vaccinated and dewormed. He is free of eczema, and there are no other known health issues.
Finding him a good, permanent home is very important to us. Therefore, we are open to price suggestions.
