Connemara gelding for sale - We are selling our Connemara gelding, 6-year-old (7 in June), 1.40 m tall, in the special coat color Perlino. Tullo was imported directly from the breeder in Ireland to Switzerland before he came to us in April 2024.
The pony was gently broken in and knows the saddle, bridle (bitless) and can do all gaits. He listens very well to the voice, even when ridden. He is absolutely well-behaved and uncomplicated when it comes to handling and everything that goes with it (farrier, vet, loading etc.). He is very comfortable and likes to take it easy. Tullo is currently kept in an open stable, which works very well and he likes it. He is very sweet and has a very calm character. He is also very gentle and careful with children.
Since December last year, the Connemara gelding has unfortunately been displaying very conspicuous behavior. When riding, lunging and walking, he occasionally holds his head in an unnatural tilted position (head tilted to the left). Tullo has been extensively examined by a vet, chiropractor, osteopath and veterinary practitioner. An exact cause for this behavior has not yet been found. He is currently still undergoing treatment. He does not show this behavior in the stable, but runs and romps around with his horse friends and is happy.
We are selling Tullo as a companion horse due to his abnormal behavior and would still be happy if the new owner would be able to find him as a leisure horse. He would also be ideal as a therapy horse due to his character.
A nice home for Tullo is very important to us, so the selling price is negotiable.
