Buckskin Cruzado gelding, 174 cm, 6 years old - Truan is a beautiful (buttermilk buckskin) 6-year-old Cruzado gelding with an exceptionally people-oriented and endearing personality. He is classically trained in the three basic gaits and impresses with his willingness to learn and his gentle manner.
He is ridden both with a Spanish Ludomar saddle and, on extended trail rides, with a Western saddle. Truan is reliable, well-balanced, and can be ridden easily even by beginners. Thanks to his calm demeanor and pleasant nature, he is a great partner for both relaxed trail rides and further training.
His personality is truly special: Truan seeks human interaction, learns new commands very quickly, and responds exceptionally well to voice cues. He comes when called from the paddock and can even urinate on command—a sign of his high learning ability and the trusting relationship he has with his human.
In daily interactions, he is very well-behaved and easygoing. He has no issues with the farrier, loading, or general handling.
Selling him isn’t easy for me, and I’m doing so solely because of my pregnancy; I simply can’t meet his needs—both in terms of time and physical care—any longer, either now or in the future. That’s why I’m hoping to find Truan a loving home where he’ll continue to be nurtured and can build a close bond with his people.
Truan has been healthy so far and has no known chronic conditions; he does not have summer eczema or other skin problems. He has a current AKU certificate.
During his time with me, he has not suffered any serious injuries or prolonged periods of illness. His teeth were trimmed in early May; he is fully shod and had his last physical exam at the end of May. He is stabled in an open barn within a herd of geldings, where he tends to hold a high rank.
