Broodmare book 1 Icelandic 5-gaited mare at best place - Genesis was born in 2013 and has been healthy, eczema-free, dewormed and vaccinated ever since. She has been well-behaved and routinely handled since foaling and is also easy to handle at the farrier and loading. She is free of bad habits and easy to handle on a daily basis and has an honest, intelligent and friendly character. She was registered in Stud Book 1 with a score of 7.9 for gait and conformation. Her foals so far are convincing all along the line with character, gaits, development and color. Genesis herself is more of the old type with max. 136 stm but compact and harmoniously built with a sporty touch and good foundation to cover normal adult as well as young riders up to max. 75 kg. Five gaited, she has good, safe and expressive basic gaits with a lot of natural tölt and a good pass.
She was broken in last year and showed herself to be hard-working and cooperative. She can be influenced very well by voice and weight aids and requires little influence from hand and leg. She is therefore not a horse for those with a coarse motor and is therefore rather unsuitable for beginners and fearful riders. If you are looking for a horse that needs little aids but still makes a difference, she is the right horse for you as she is easy to ride, responds to aids at all times and is not sensitive. Everything is possible with her, from relaxed cross-country riding to really demanding performance. She has mainly been ridden alone in the open country but also behaves in an exemplary manner when out riding in company and can be ridden anywhere. Unfortunately, for some time now she has only been standing in the pasture again due to a lack of time on my part and is therefore currently out of shape and should be trained from scratch again and slimmed down a little. Of course, she could also be used as a broodmare again at any time.
Genesis has a good solid pedigree and is also special in terms of color due to her pinto sire. As a black pinto, she also carries a splash gene and is tested as a pure black. This makes her a color guarantee, because chestnut-colored offspring are 100% impossible with her.
