Black Forest dark chestnut gelding (place before prize) - It is with a heavy heart that I am selling my Black Forest cold-blooded gelding, ROMINO, because I don’t have enough time to provide him with regular training appropriate for his age!
He matured late—but has no, or very few, stallion-like traits! He grew up in a herd of stallions and still lives with a stallion today!
I’m only selling to owners with open stables! He’s never been kept in a stall—except for his sleeping stall with an adjoining paddock!
He has spirit—somewhat dominant but very trainable—and wants to be challenged! Overall, he has a great personality—though he’s not a horse for beginners, as he can come across as very self-assured and dominant—but with clear guidance, he’s easy to handle and quickly settles into a calm and relaxed state!
Clear-headed! Loves being groomed! Lets you saddle and bridle him without any trouble!
I’m looking for an owner who will fully engage with him—he’d be so happy, because he wants to work!
He was bottle-fed for the first 7 days—which is why he likes to put everything he can find in his mouth! He loves his bit!
He comes from a sport-oriented lineage—if someone is looking for a lighter-built Black Forest horse, he’s perfect! Great build! Beautiful coat pattern!
Hooves trimmed regularly! Teeth checked and treated in 2026!
Broken in—familiar with a snaffle bit—understands rein pressure! Used to carrying a rider’s weight!
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to continue his riding training due to my pregnancy! But he’s had plenty of groundwork! He’s used to cross-country—though he’s not quite as relaxed out there as I’d like him to be!
I’m being completely honest, and he’s available for viewing at any time! This isn’t a fire sale—I’m looking for the best home for him—a good home comes before price!
