Barefoot® 'Barrydale' including Barefoot® Special Saddle Pad - The Barefoot Barrydale is particularly popular in endurance riding. The legs are positioned precisely, the saddle remains stable in place, and the horse’s back remains free of pressure—an absolute must, especially on long distances.
In this saddle, you can feel the horse’s muscles working and the movements of its back, making it the foundation for more refined riding.
The stirrup leathers can be freely positioned between the seat and the saddle.
The anatomically shaped pommel pads integrated into the removable seat provide the rider with excellent support in this Barefoot® saddle; you sit low and securely, whether on the trail or in the arena.
The girth system is flexible and V-shaped. Like all Barefoot saddles, this saddle may be positioned slightly further forward, as the horse’s shoulder can move freely at all times under the Barefoot saddle. This positions the rider directly over the horse’s natural center of gravity, allowing the horse to balance the rider’s weight more easily.

The pommel is the standard medium size (gray) and, as with all Barefoot saddles, is interchangeable.

Padded saddle pad
Specially designed for Barefoot® saddles.
These special saddle pads feature a top line adapted to the horse’s back and Barefoot saddles, with a cutout at the withers. Anatomically shaped, removable PU foam inserts along the right and left sides of the spine form a permanent spinal canal and ensure ideal pressure absorption and distribution.

The anatomical sheep’s wool underside offers even more comfort and cushioning thanks to its temperature-regulating and moisture-wicking properties. The sheep’s wool underside is open in the area of the spine to provide additional relief and space for the spine and the ends of the spinous processes.
The top side is made of durable quilted cotton fabric with a non-slip foam rubber layer and dimensionally stable padding on the inside.
All pads are equipped with Velcro strips for attachment to the saddle.
Machine washable at 30° on the wool cycle—preferably with wool detergent.
