Aegidienberger gelding - This extraordinary gelding is F1, classically bred 50% Paso Peruano x Icelandic horse with special color palomino pinto, one blue and one bay eye. He is reliable on and off the track, alone and in a group, knows extreme trails, was the best foal uncle ever, is absolutely people-oriented and at the same time polite, reliable without any vices, goes barefoot, is a 4-walker with clearly separated gaits, is a show horse everywhere and the best friend you could wish for. However, he has always been consistently trained and treated, which has made him reliable. He will remain that way if he is treated appropriately. He has never been ill. But in 2020, he had the only colic of his life so terribly bad that he had to have an operation. It was a dislocation, no tissue removal was necessary. There is no feed intolerance, there has never been even one colic again, he is even allowed to graze 24/7 (not recommended though because he gets too fat). Due to a wound healing disorder after the operation, he has suffered an incisional hernia which, according to several vets and clinics, should not be operated on again as the gap is large enough to prevent the intestine from becoming trapped. The gap is not getting any bigger, so there is no need for action. Of course, the bulge on the belly is a visual defect. This horse moves freely and beautifully and has been ridden without any restrictions so far. He is a horse that doesn't need to be ridden for a while as long as he is kept in an open stable and has company. Afterwards, you sit on him as if you had just been out together yesterday. Apart from vaccinations and worming, the vet only came for regular dental check-ups. Due to the handicap "bump on his belly", I will give him away far, far below his value if the right person is found. This gelding needs a real relationship and a caregiver with time. He is not a horse for several riders. The rider must be able to ride independently of the reins and control his legs. The horse runs without permanent rein contact/leaning and reacts finely to weight, body, leg and rein aids, including neck reining. He is bitless and trained in snaffle and snaffle with shanks. He is happiest with a bosal (Colombian or Californian), in a knotted halter or sometimes in the arena with a neck ring only, once trust has been built up and the rider is able to offer him security. I would like him to have an experienced, relaxed, rather calm rider who can continue to give him security and guidance. Preferably a rider who has already ridden Pasos or has mastered the old Californian riding style. The gelding has a clear Spanish type, is 1.52 m tall and strong. The tölt is clear without aids. He has a lively, ground-covering walk, preferably on a loose rein. His trot can be called off at different speeds. His canter can be improved on the track (currently due to lack of training) but in the field he is set, jumps well and is easy to control (also in a group). He loves ground and free work, works for his owner and is calm and relaxed when his owner is too. He is friendly to the forge and loading. In the herd he is usually accepted as the sovereign boss without fighting. However, he also subordinates himself without a fight if there is someone who absolutely wants to lead. He can be kept with stallions, mares and geldings. He prefers to live in small groups, regardless of breed. The shortage is disclosed, there will be no AU.
