Adorable Tinker gelding looking for a new home - Marengo, my adorable, well-trained Tinker gelding is looking for a new person who wants to spend time with him. Marengo is in his prime, has undergone solid training and is well-behaved in ground work and under saddle. He is basically trained in western leisure riding and also has suitable western accessories (saddle, bridle) that can be purchased. To avoid boredom in his training, we have also prepared him a little for riding on the double lunge with a harness - and he really enjoyed it. He is friendly and affectionate towards people and loves to be groomed, stroked and cuddled. He works in a concentrated and motivated manner and is great to ride in the riding arena and in the field. Of course he knows all gaits, but he is and remains a Tinker - walk and trot are his favorites - but he is also very reluctant to lose a canter duel against his friends :). Marengo is super comfortable to handle and super comfortable to sit in all gaits (also suitable for people like me who have suffered a bit over the years in the back).
Marengo currently lives in a herd of geldings in an open / active stable. He is in the middle rank there and fits in well with the herd. He has no special requirements when it comes to food (the main thing is that it comes quickly and in large quantities - he is still a Tinker). Despite 24/7 hay and a small daily portion of vitamins/concentrated feed, he does not tend to be overweight - if he is exercised regularly, he shows beautiful muscularity.
Why are we selling the horse that we have grown so fond of? Unfortunately, we can no longer keep up with our herd and so, with a very heavy heart, we have decided to give our boys to someone who can look after them better than we can at the moment.
