* Acavallo Mantegna Raffaello dressage saddle 17,5 mono flap wNEW * - New black Acavallo Mantegna dressage saddle from the new generation, featuring a slightly enhanced design of the padded seat and the improved new MAG 2.0 system, which is stronger and significantly more stable. The Mantegna is identical in construction to the Raffaello, with the only differences being that it has latex panels instead of wool panels, and that it is angled more sharply at the pommel, thus offering slightly more room in the saddle.
It was only tried on once. The photos show its current condition.
Unlike the first-generation MAG system, this second-generation system requires a larger 6 mm Allen wrench instead of the previous 4 mm size.
Narrowly contoured, extremely comfortable—it’s every bit as good as my previous Hennig dressage saddle with a soft seat. Very short; the actual contact surface and length are only about 42 cm. The padding is nice and soft and completely even.
As is typical for Acavallo, the saddle runs slightly smaller due to the deep seat and corresponds more to a generous 17 inches.
Seat size: 17.5 inches MSRP: 2,667.90 euros!
The Acavallo® Mantegna dressage saddle is a variation of the popular Acavallo Raffaello dressage saddle. It features a sloped rear pommel. This more open seat area offers the rider greater freedom of movement in the saddle.
The nylon saddle tree with carbon insert was specially developed to meet the needs of dressage riders. It is elastic, allowing it to follow the horse’s movements perfectly. It has a slim profile, ensuring close contact between the rider’s leg and the horse. The seat is ergonomic and allows for a deep seat. Thanks to the revolutionary Mag mechanism—operated with the Mag key—the steel pommel can be adjusted with millimeter precision and adapted to the horse’s back in just a few simple steps.
The mono-flaps feature long, attached stirrup pads that ensure a secure hold and optimal leg positioning.
The leather used is double-layered, premium Italian calfskin.
The saddle panels are specially designed to optimally absorb shocks and perfectly distribute the rider’s weight across the horse’s back. They are filled with layers of latex and felt, covered in leather, and can withstand the long-term demands of compression and decompression without requiring re-padding. The materials used are natural and hypoallergenic.
Payment can be made in cash upon pickup at 42477 Radevormwald, or via PayPal or bank transfer in advance, plus shipping costs. Shipping costs may vary depending on the level of insurance. I would prefer in-person pickup, as this allows me to show the buyer exactly how the MAG adjustment system works—it’s quite different from other Allen-wrench-adjustable headrest systems.
