A lovely mare as a companion! Place over prize! - I am offering my mare for sale due to time and space constraints.
I have trained her up to Class M (dressage) and have competed with her at shows. But those days are behind her; after having two foals, she would enjoy some activity—perhaps leisurely trail rides or light work in the arena, depending on the situation—or simply some ground work.
She does have a minor limitation—she’s not exactly a spring chicken anymore.
She has a hay dust allergy, but it’s easy to manage—just avoid wet hay, haylage, and the usual suspects. If the hay is of good quality, dry hay is fine too; she tolerated it well all summer and still does at the hay rack in the open barn. She’s in my open barn, but she’s also used to a stall, where she stands on Strawfix.
She’s always had a small crack in the front of her hoof, but it doesn’t cause her any problems; she goes to the farrier every 6 weeks, so that’s not an issue either.
Well-being comes before price!
