A beautiful Quarter Horse gelding with promising all-around pedigree - Location: 30938 Burgwedel For sale is the beautiful Quarter Horse gelding CL Smooth Zip Hotrod, born on June 3, 2023, bay in color, with a current height at the withers of approximately 155 cm. This expressive young horse impresses with his correct, powerful conformation, his harmonious proportions, and his lively, ground-covering gaits with a long front leg. Already at the foal show, Berry was awarded an outstanding overall score of 83.05%. His first-class pleasure/all-around pedigree through Zippos Good Mr (Zippos Mr Good Bar) and CL Smooth N Hotrod (Smooth N Cody) combines proven bloodlines, athleticism, a willingness to perform, and a well-balanced temperament. He shows great all-around potential and is already enrolled in the EWU Young Horse Program. In terms of personality, he’s a real heartbreaker: people-oriented, friendly, curious, honest, brave, and extremely affectionate. A big cuddly bear with personality. Berry is self-assured; he occasionally questions things, but always remains endearing and never malicious. His temperament is rather laid-back, yet he wants—and should—be kept busy on a regular basis. He learns quickly and, when trained fairly and consistently, is motivated and receptive. The gelding has already been broken in, knows the basic gaits, how to back up, etc., and walks obediently on a lead line when out on the trail. In daily handling, Berry is easygoing, well-socialized, and is accustomed to open stalls, individual stalls, and 24-hour pasture access. He is comfortable with the veterinarian and farrier, submits well to hoof care, and has very good, hard hooves. He is healthy, robust, regularly dewormed and vaccinated, and his teeth have been trimmed. An AKU report from spring 2026 is available, and Berry is 7-panel n/n. He will be sold with AQHA papers and an equine passport. Whether as a future show partner or a high-quality leisure horse—this stunning gelding has everything it takes for a promising future. We are looking for an experienced, loving owner who enjoys patiently and fairly continuing to train a young gelding. A special youngster with quality, charm, and plenty of potential!
