16 year old Spaniard - I am selling my 16 year old Spanish gelding with a heavy heart. He has a height of approx. 1.54m. I bought him in the winter of 2023 and realized over the two years that we are not on the same wavelength. I also just can't do him justice anymore. Test riding is out of the question!
He is lovely to handle, easy to forge and load. He currently lives in a large herd, knows stabling and also open stabling. We didn't really get to ride him. He didn't feel comfortable under me as a rider. With the previous owner he also did well in the field.
Due to his origins in Spain, he is a bit skeptical of men. But otherwise he is very sociable. He doesn't bite, he doesn't mount and he doesn't kick. He is very fair. I love him more than anything, but I'm no longer doing him justice and that's not fair. He's not in training at all at the moment, which is why I'm reluctant to allow a test ride. He knows lunging and work in hand/free work and is very keen to learn new things. He has mild sweet itch and wears a neck part depending on the severity, but it is only on the tail and mane ridge. Not on the belly button or anything else. He is also very low ranking in groups.
