It is with a heavy heart that I am looking for a new home for my 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse mare, standing approximately 1.54 m at the withers, due to my own health reasons.
She is an absolute gem: friendly, honest, calm, well-balanced, and with an incredibly strong desire to please her owner. What makes her special to me is her exceptional temperament. She is very well-behaved in every situation, forgives riding mistakes, and remains calm and responsive throughout.
She has absolutely no problems with different riders or children and gives her owner a great sense of security. This makes her a great fit for beginners and those returning to riding.
Given her calm, friendly, and people-oriented nature, I could also easily see her as a school horse or—following an appropriate professional assessment and training—in a therapeutic setting.
Versatile, hardworking, and eager to learn
She was originally trained in the English style, but with me she also rides under a Western saddle and is worked on a long rein. She also enjoys jumping. She has no competition experience so far—but thanks to her attitude and willingness to learn, she has a solid foundation for further training.
Under saddle, she has a very diligent, ground-covering walk, a good trot, and a canter that’s particularly comfortable to ride.
A reliable partner on trail rides
She also goes out on trail rides alone and is accustomed to tractors, bicycles, and dogs. These things don’t faze her. She’s easygoing not only under saddle but also in everyday life.
She stands calmly and obediently at the farrier’s and the vet’s. Loading onto the trailer was also completely problem-free for us—she got onto the trailer without any fuss on the very first try.
She gets along very well with other horses and is accustomed to both open-stall and stall housing. An equine passport is, of course, available.

I am selling her solely for health reasons on my part, and it’s accordingly difficult for me.
She shouldn’t just be sold off, but should find the person with whom she can stay long-term and who appreciates her exceptional character just as much as I do.
