Fully automatic feeder, battery operated, hangable, modified for oats - I offer for sale a fully automatic, battery-powered, hangable feeder (modified for oats).

When we moved to a self-catering stable, it was important to us that the regular concentrate feed with oats is guaranteed. Through the automatic feeder it was possible to distribute the concentrates from the usual 3 times a day in boarding stables to several small doses, even in the early morning or late evening.

The intervals are completely individually adjustable via a timer (from every half hour). The amount of food that trickles out is defined by the rotation time of the motor, which can also be adjusted (from about 15g to 600g per meal).
The vending machine is battery operated (4xAA), so you can place it completely independent of power sources. The first batteries used from 2020 still work.

The feeder was originally intended for chicken feed. After we modified it inside, it now works wonderfully for oats.

Note: We attached the feeder to the stall bars. After four weeks of flawless use, our clever mare figured out that wiggling the bars could make a few grains trickle out, so she got a kick out of jiggling the bars for hours until the feeder was empty. So our idea of several small gifts throughout the day was unfortunately invalid and in the long run not good for the teeth. Therefore, our tip: Mount the feeder out of reach on the wall and pipe it into the feeder.

We no longer need the machine because our mare no longer gets oats and we are moving back to a boarding stable.
