...is a very high quality PRE mare with an elite pedigree that goes back to Marin Garcia, Yeguada Militar (State Stud), Guardiola, Larios, Cardenas and others.
Her pedigree includes several highly licensed ancestors, the most famous of which is the elite stallion "Duque CXIII". The sire line includes the top sire "Engañoso VI" who is licensed as "Reproducteur Mejorante" as well as "Reproducteur Élite" and the calificado-licensed mare "Latina XXX". The dam line includes the already mentioned elite stallion "Duque CXII" as well as his sire "Educado X", who was awarded "Reproducteur Mejorante", "Reproducteur Élite" and "Reproducteur Calificado".
This top-class Pura Raza Española mare is being sold far below value due to a slight summer eczema.
Descarada has a compact baroque type and an attentive, alert character. So far she has been basic trained and is basic ridden. She loves going out into the countryside - even on her own - and feels at home there. Her rider should be experienced in the breed in order to know how to handle her GO. It would be desirable for her to be worked and encouraged regularly, as this PRE mare, typical of the breed, not only wants to be physically challenged but also wants to be exercised mentally.
She is very sweet and well-behaved in handling and on the ground, but she quickly gets bored. It would be best for her to have a caregiver and therefore only one rider. She is currently kept in an open stable.
Four years ago, Descarada was bought by her current owner directly from her breeder in Spain and has been in private ownership ever since. Of course, she has been regularly wormed, vaccinated, had her teeth done, undergone osteopathic treatment and been shown to the farrier (currently barehoof).
